One fall evening when they were 14 years old, Brandi was with her sister and future brother-in-law. Nygel was with his spiritual brother and wife. The two older couples coincidently decided to get together and go out to eat at a local restaurant known as Homeroom, and they brought young Brandi and Nygel along with them. The young teens sat across from each other at the table. They barely knew each other back then, so they awkwardly stared and never said one word to each other. That shy awkwardness eventually turned into a wonderful friendship. Many years later, Nygel eventually confessed to Brandi that he had a secret crush on her for a while, and Brandi expressed how she admired his sense of humor and creativity. To this day, they still enjoy going to Homeroom. But now when they sit across from each other at the table, they stare into each other’s eyes and cannot stop talking about their future! Who would have ever known from that original meeting, many years later they would be reacquainted and their relationship would turn into a beautiful friendship? A friendship that ultimately led to them being engaged to this day! They’ve shared many smiles, laughs, and priceless memories together. Although they are young, by practicing loyalty, respect, faith, and love they have developed a strong foundation.
