As most of you know by now, we made the difficult decision to cancel our big wedding in Syracuse. We are still getting married on NYE in a small private ceremony. We plan to livestream the ceremony so those of you who can’t physically be there can still watch! We hope to have some sort of celebration once life gets back to “normal”, whenever that may be. Thank you everyone for your love and support!
Anyone who knows Jenna knows she is an avid Syracuse fan. Although the football team is typically less than mediocre, she thought it would be fun to round up a group of friends to go the the Syracuse vs Boston College game in 2016. Jenna's then-coworker Adam said he and his roommates loved college football and were always down for a good time. The girls showed up to Adam's house to have a couple pre-game beverages, and an unfamiliar face opened the door...Brian. Jenna and Brian had crossed paths a couple of times before this, but did not really know anything about each other. All Jenna knew was that Brian could be kind of a grandpa and didn't always go out on the weekends. She gave him the awkward "Hey how are you?" half hug and didn't think anything of it. He was loud and wearing a Boston College t-shirt, so naturally Jenna did NOT like him right away. Brian, on the other hand, thought Jenna was very cute, so he tried to impress her with his immature sense of humor. This didn't really work...at first. During the game Jenna was hoping someone would go with her to meet up with her friends from Syracuse. Brian thought this would be a good opportunity to get to know Jenna, as they wandered around Alumni Field. As the day went on, Brian and Jenna continued to talk and become more and more interested in each other. After spending the day together at the game, and the night together bowling at Jillian's (which also happened to be one of the biggest Penn State upsets ever), a spark began to form between the two. And the rest, as they say, is history...
