Our Story

Let us bring you back to the spring of 2020. Uncertainty around the rapidly growing Covid 19 pandemic led to new practices such as nightly outdoor walks, mid-day work from home snacking, and wiping down groceries with layers and layers of disinfectant. A time where everyone was trying to keep their social circles as small as possible. It seemed like the worst time in the last century to spark up a new relationship with a stranger... When the two of us matched on a dating app in March of 2020, it seemed unlikely that we would ever get to meet each other in person. However, through the course of our conversations we learned that we graduated college the same year from CSBSJU, we worked in the same office complex, and most importantly that we lived only a few blocks away from each other in St. Louis Park. After carefully weighing the risks involved, we decided to meet in person for a walk around our neighborhood on April 7th. Neither of us knew what to expect, but thankfully it went very well. So well, that our second walking date continued for more than 12 miles! The long walks gave us time to get to know each other well in a relatively short period. Only 15 days after meeting for the first time in person, we became official. The next year and half of dating was spent exploring with countless walks around St. Louis Park, vacations to the North Shore, Siesta Key, Florida and Scottsdale, Arizona and spending time with our family and friends. Anyone who knows Rachel knows that she absolutely loves holidays. Anyone who knows her really well knows that Halloween is by far her favorite. The more Halloween the better! When Tim was getting ready to propose in the fall of 2021, Tim figured his best chance at securing an enthusiastic “YES!” was by incorporating as many Halloween themed pieces into the proposal as possible. This included carving “MARRY ME?” into 8 pumpkins, setting out a candy corn blanket, and assorted fall flowers at Frontenac State Park in Red Wing, MN. Following the Holiday theme, we couldn’t think of a better time to get married than on New Years Eve. We are counting down the days to getting married surrounded by all our family and friends.
