Hi All! Please note, the ceremony start time has been updated to 4:00pm!! We are excited to see you all there!
Andrew told Elizabeth that his boss had scheduled a client dinner for Friday evening, but the client cancelled last minute. His boss had extended the invite to the Malbec restaurant to a few associates and their significant others. Elizabeth agreed to the free dinner without hesitation. As they arrived to the restaurant in Old City Philadelphia, Andrew suggested they take a walk around the block since they were 'early' and the others had not yet arrived. Andrew had originally planned to propose in Headhouse Square but a concert had popped up that evening and this option was no longer available. Instead Andrew directed Liz to a nearby alleyway covered in growing vines and cobblestone streets. The alley was right behind Liz's old apartment building - 228 Pine. As they approached her backyard, Andrew told her he had a question to ask...He got down on one knee and pulled out a ring with his grandmother's diamond! She immediately said yes and burst into tears. Much to Elizabeth's surprise, Andrew had made reservations at their favorite restaurant Zahav for later that evening. The menu's were custom made to celebrate their engagement listing delicious food and wine. After dinner they headed home, only to arrive to a surprise engagement party! They toasted their engagement with close friends and games.
While in high school, Elizabeth and Andrew had competed at the same swim meet in Santa Clara a couple years before they would meet. Elizabeth had gone over to Andrew's club team to introduce herself to one of her new teammates at William & Mary while Andrew was sitting near by. It wasn't until years later when Liz wore a shirt from that meet, that Andrew and Liz made the connection. He remembers that tall girl talking to his teammate. Little did they know they would become husband and wife.
