Nicholas + Vanessa met casually through friends at Pepperdine. Years later, Nick reached out to Vanessa asking if she would like to join him for a yoga class. Vanessa of course answered no (sweating in front of a cute boy?! Try again) but gave him the go ahead to ask her out on an actual date... Nick responded accordingly and they went on their first date which included a concert, burritos, and an electronic kirtan rave. With a winning combo like so, the evening was a hit + they have been inseparable since.

After 3 years of dating--and the day before Vanessa's 30th Birthday celebration--Nicholas took Vanessa on a motorcycle ride to catch the sunset overlooking Ventura. With zero make up on, smelling of spray tan, and dressed in motorcycle gear, Vanessa noticed a picnic set up and what *looked* like a Beatles cover band in the far distance, and instantly realized this was the big moment. The band was a false alarm, but even better was Nicholas' parents, Vanessa's family (including the special guest, Jessica), and their beloved puppies Ares & Athena all surrounding the two in their hiding places as Nick popped the very special question. As soon as Vanessa replied "YOOORN", the pair caught the most beautiful sunset & popped champagne with their loved ones to celebrate.
