Nuria had just started working in San Francisco and was finished for the day. She was heading to the gym when she got a call from her friend, Jeannette, who just happened to be in town and wanted to grab some drinks. Nuria couldn't say "no". It was 100 degrees in San Francisco and some drinks sounded good! They started walking around looking for a place to stay cool. Soon, they found a restaurant called Rosa Mexicano. Little did Nuria know, she was about to meet her future husband there. Jeannette and Nuria got a table and started ordering when they realized that the A/C was broken! They couldn't believe it and thought about going somewhere else. Then, a guy in a suit approached them and asked if everything was ok. He apologized for the inconvenience and offered to cover what they had ordered. Nuria and Jeannette were wondering who this guy was, until he introduced himself. His name was Dan, and he was a Managing Partner at Rosa Mexicano. He wasn't supposed to be there that day but stopped by for a couple of hours. At the table, Dan and Nuria chatted for more than they intended. They exchanged numbers, and Dan messaged her that same day to invite her to dinner. After that first date, the rest is history! They started this new chapter together in San Francisco and now, with one dog and two apartments later, they are embarking on another huge milestone! Married life ... here we come!

After Dan and Nuria were living in San Francisco for some time, Dan knew she was the one and wanted to propose that Summer. After a long search, he found the perfect location in Cabo, Mexico. Dan had pre-arranged everything in Cabo San Lucas to have the perfect night. Once they landed in Mexico, customs opened all their luggage for a routine inspection. Dan got nervous for a second because he didn't want Nuria to see the ring. But he was prepared -- he already had a note with him that said "Please do not ruin the surprise, I am proposing." The Mexican officials laughed and cooperated, wishing him good luck. The following day, Dan checked with the resort to make sure all arrangements were as he requested. Nuria was getting ready to have dinner at the resort's restaurant. Little did she know, a big surprise was awaiting for her at the beach! Dan and Nuria arrived at the Restaurant and the hostess informed them that they only had a table in the back. As she walked them towards the back of the restaurant, there was a door that led to the beach. When the hostess opened the door, a beautiful walkaway of lights led them to a table of two. Flowers and a fire pit made the setting even more romantic. Nuria thought that was the most beautiful and romantic dinner set-up ever! Nuria and Dan sat to make a toast , then Dan asked the waiter to take a "picture" of them. (But it wasn't going to be a picture, he was ready to record what was coming!) When they were getting ready to take that "picture", Dan got down on one knee, told her he loved her and asked her to marry him! She, of course, said "Yes"! The waiter ended up taking a perfect video. They spent their last days in Cabo celebrating this new chapter and adventure!
