Question

How and when do I RSVP?

Answer

Let's save paper. Please RSVP right here on nulieweds.com by April 1, 2023.

Question

Where do I state my dietary restrictions?

Answer

You will be prompted when you RSVP. We will have a delicious vegetarian option.

Question

Do I get a +1?

Answer

Only if stated on your invite. This is an intimate, 30-guest wedding so we'd like to maximize our time spent with those we hold most dear.

Question

Can kids come?

Answer

Not to the ceremony, but kids of all ages are welcome to our after-party!

Question

Can pets come?

Answer

I wholeheartedly say yes but venue says no, so no.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our guests dressed up in cocktail attire, ideally in blue, green, yellow, and lilac hues. Please avoid primary colors, specifically red, and neon tones. Historical average temperature range for July in Palos Verdes is 62 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

The venue has a private and spacious parking lot that even the worst driver (e.g., the bride) can easily park in.

Question

Will the ceremony, coffee hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony will be outdoors overlooking the gorgeous Pacific. Coffee hour will be outdoors in the courtyard. Reception will be indoors.

Question

Will there be air conditioning?

Answer

Our venue has AC! Palos Verdes is oceanside so even in July, the historical high is only 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Question

The venue's named La Venta Inn. Can I stay there?

Answer

Despite its name, La Venta is an event venue that cannot accommodate overnight guests. Back when it was erected in 1923, it was an inn for real estate agents and developers contemplating buying land in Palos Verdes and Beverly Hills. Let's hope they drew up their deeds on site.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

Our wedding photographer has asked us to have an unplugged wedding so we don't have iPhones (or god forbid, Androids) floating in our pictures, and we agree with this approach. She is supremely talented and will get the money shot for us. Thanks for silencing and tucking away your phones for our ceremony!

Question

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

Our wedding will not have a Zoom or Microsoft Teams link. This is for the good of everyone involved.

Question

Is the afterparty required?

Answer

Totally optional. Our goal is to spend as much time as we can with our loved ones so we're going to continue the party at Joey's in Manhattan Beach. Lite bites (e.g. truffle parmesan fries) and ridiculous LA drinks (e.g., matcha mojito) will be provided.

Question

Where do I park to attend the afterparty?

Answer

Joey's is located in the Manhattan Village Shopping Center. Free parking is available in the Community Center or the North, South and Northeast Parking Garages. Electric Vehicle Charging and Tesla Super Charging is also available. Allegedly, you can take public transport via Metro Bus and Beach City Transport.

Question

What is your social media posting policy?

Answer

Post whatever you want, just use #nulieweds so we can enjoy!

Question

What does your hashtag mean?

Answer

#nulieweds is a portmanteau of Julie, Nick, and newlyweds ♡
