We're getting married!

How we met

We attended the same school from 6th grade onward. We were always around each other, had mutual friends, and even had some of the same classes. In Choir, Jacob would pick me for warm-ups, and then one day, we went on a field trip to Hart Square (Yes, our venue for the wedding!) We were in the same touring group, and we sat near each other for most of the stations that day. At one point, I sneezed, and he put his arm around me and said, "Are you okay?" From then on, I knew he liked me back because that was silly. Some of my friends got his number for me, and I texted him the same day as I got on the school bus to go home. I remember not knowing what to say AT ALL- so I asked him, "Have you ever eaten Chapstick?" (Why would I ask that?). To my surprise, he actually answered back and said, "Yes, the Sprite flavor was my favorite." I had always had a crush on him, even in middle school, so for us to be getting married now is crazy. I saw him play the flute in middle school, and I was intrigued. If I had never switched into Choir, we wouldn't be here today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hannah and I had been in classes together, but never directly talked until high school. We were in the same band class, and I remember being behind her in rehearsals because the saxophones (she played alto) were in front of the trumpets in middle school and then in front of the tubas in high school (I played both the trumpet and tuba). We were always near each other and never knew it. Hannah's grandma was my next-door neighbor for years, and I only found out once we started dating. One moment in high school, a while before we started dating, we were all in the auditorium, and I remember Hannah playing one of those pizzeria simulator games and sitting next to her, talking about it. Hannah switched into choir, and that's when I started seeing her more. She was incredibly shy, and I remember calling on her during warmups because of that. She would widen her eyes in panic, and her face would flush as she was pushed to stand in front of the class with me. Over time, I was increasingly charmed by the shyness she felt towards any question I would pose to her and any request I had. After a few months of that class, her friends pushed her to try and get my number, and I almost accidentally gave her my dad's number because I didn't remember my own. Our texts were a mix of shared jokes and getting to know each other. Each bit I learned about her and every word she would send sparked warmth in my whole body. I felt like I had met someone who truly understood who I was from the moment I first spoke to her. I was thinking about her constantly and eagerly anticipating each day and waking up to speak to her again. I had grown a deep-seated curiosity and admiration for the person she was. I couldn't bottle up my feelings any longer, and within that week, I confessed the feelings I had for her.
