It started with a simple introduction from my aunt, Chidinma Ogbonna, a WhatsApp message, a late-night reply, and a three-hour first call that was only supposed to be quick. When I flew to New York, Nuela picked me up from the airport, and just like that, it felt like we’d known each other for years. Through airport drop-offs, long-distance calls, flights between New York and Kansas, and a visit to meet the family, every moment only made things clearer. This was it. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on August 13, 2026.
