On a hot night in August 2021 some friends and I loaded up to head to the Soybean Festival in Norborne. A couple of them asked if I knew Nathan White, as they thought this might be a good set up. “Nope, never heard of him.” Upon arriving at the festival my friend approached Nathan’s dad to find out if he (Nathan) was single. As it turned out he was seeing someone. “Oh well,” I thought. “No big deal, let’s get a pitcher of beer and dance!” I approached the beer truck and was served by none other than Nathan. Few words were exchanged, and I hit the dance floor. Fast forward to December 2021 and Nathan T. White wanted to be my friend on Snapchat. I thought this was a little odd, as I had never really talked to the guy. But I, being the millennial that I am, added him. Not long after, he slid into my DMs with a real smooth comment about how my bitmoji had as much hair as I did in real life. (Oh. My.) A few weeks later we went on our first date. He picked me up from my sister’s house where I immediately ran him off the front porch because he was NOT meeting my whole family on the first date! We rode around town looking at Christmas lights and sipping hot chocolate and he told me every known fact about who lived where and the history of the home/land. I was not impressed so much by his knowledge but by his passion when telling these stories, and thought a second date might be fun… And the rest is history.
