When I was a teenager I used to hang out with my big brother Jeremy and his friends every now and then. First, lets just say, what teenage girl isn't going to get a crush on her big brothers friend...I was totally guilty. I was about 14 years old when Jeremy introduced me to his friend Mat Dunlap. That's when the big crush began. The evidence is still to this day, engraved with purple ink, written by my 14 year old self, in the closet that used to be mine. I never scribbled it out and the people who have moved in after us never painted over it. It was an ironic thing to see when Mat and I moved back into this house 4 years ago.  Mat and I used to hang out off and on every now and then throughout the years, usually always randomly running into each other, hanging out for a while and then going our separate way. We both had feelings for each other but because of our ages; I was 18 and he was 4 years older....that combo would not have went over so well with my parents! Not only that but the fear of my brother Jeremy, how would he react? Mat didn't want to loose a good friend and I didn't want to upset my family, so we never dated.  A little over 5 years ago Mat came into my work, I had helped him with his phone and he invited me out for a beer after work to catch up, of course how could I resist. One thing that always amazed me is how the feelings we had for each other never went away, and every time we would hang out, it was just like we picked up right where we left off. We had a good time catching up that night and he asked me out again later on that week. After going on a few more dates we decided that we wanted to make this finally official! Only one thing left to do. Before Mat officially asked me out he took my brother Jeremy out for dinner, out of respect for his best friend, he wanted to make sure Jeremy was cool with Mat and I dating. What was Jeremy's reaction? Well lets just say I wouldn't be telling you all this amazing love story if he said no.
