The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, floor-length dresses, or dressy jumpsuits, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. And if you are planning to wear heels, we recommend a block or wedge heel to be able to walk easier on the grass, stone, and dirt roads at the venue.
The weather this time of year is variable, it could be 60 degrees or 90 degrees. We are hoping for Sunny & 75, but please be sure to monitor the weather and dress accordingly.
The ceremony and the reception will be taking place at the same venue, the Barn at Powder Major's Farm. Please refer to the Schedule page for the address and additional venue information.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors. The ceremony will be on the stone patio directly outside of the barn, the cocktail hour will be on the grass directly outside of the barn, and the reception will be inside of the barn. If there is inclement weather, then everything will be inside the barn.
After the ceremony, the bridal party and family will be taking pictures nearby and then attending cocktail hour. Guests can head straight from the patio to the grass area where we will be serving appetizers and beverages.”
