The Wedding Day

3.30.20

It was just a normal day, well, as normal as it could be during this COVID-19 season. I was at work and my fiance, Megan, was at her house working on some details for our upcoming April 18th, 2020 wedding. Around 11:00am on March 30th, we heard that there was to be a shelter in place order starting at 8:00pm. After hearing this, we decided the wedding would take place that evening! Scrambling to get packed, dressed, and ready for the one of the most important days of her life, Megan stayed calm and just enjoyed this time with her family as all the high speed wedding festivities began to unfold. Meanwhile, I finished the last couple of tasks needed to move in to our new home. We were blessed enough to be able to use the original venue and the dresses were all hemmed and ready to go, all that was left was to find last minute caterers, cake, and flowers. We couldn’t be more thankful to the local companies for their flexibility in making this day possible. With the help of our families, we managed to get everything in place for our 5:30pm wedding. The weather was perfect, the water view was gorgeous and our pictures will always remind us of this special, if not spontaneous, evening. So, if anyone is wondering, it is possible to plan a wedding in a day, even in the midst of a global pandemic. We look forward to celebrating with you all soon!

The Proposal

10.12.19

Who knew starting the evening adventuring through a corn maze could turn into a night of true romance? Starting our day off, we made our way through a corn maze and then decided to get a bite to eat. Returning to the same restaurant where we took our first date we enjoyed a delicious meal. Once finished, we took a stroll down to the local wharf in Leonardtown and there we were met with breathtaking views. Apparently, we weren't the only ones to think it was a great idea to take a walk down by the water. Turns out, it happened to be the same night of not only one but two high school homecoming dances. Making our way through the crowd of dozens of teenagers, we managed to find a place to gaze over the water. Come to find out this wasn't just an ordinary night, but truly a night we would never forget. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Maryland!

How We Met

10.22.17

We met at Southern Calvert Baptist Church. We both didn't think much of it. We started to see each other at every event held at the church. We were both on the Worship Team together and in the same Connect Group. As we got to know each other, we also realized we both had the same passion for athletics and decided to start the church softball team together. From that point on things just fell right into place and there was no turning back.
