Question

Why are you getting married in Northern Vermont?

Answer

We love to ski and so do many of our guests! Bill introduced Kelsey to Jay Peak in March 2023. We went up for the weekend to ski and stayed in Jed the Adventure Van because Jay doesn't allow dogs in the resort hotels. Iris and Kibo enjoyed après ski parking lot parties each day while we enjoyed a snack and beverage. We had a great weekend and amazing weather - Kelsey was hooked. Even before getting engaged, we had talked about a ski wedding so when we began our search for a venue that would allow us to incorporate skiing, we added Jay Peak to the list thinking it wouldn't be attainable. Thankfully, Jay is amazing to work with and we have the best team helping us make our wedding vision a reality. We can't wait to share Jay Peak with you all and we promise, it's a pretty drive!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, when you RSVP please share all food allergies and serious dietary restrictions with us. We take them very seriously and have a few ourselves! Jay Peak is highly skilled with these requests and we're confident they will take great care of everyone.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All invitations and save the dates were addressed to the invited party members. If you have a question about a plus one or attendee addition, please send us a message.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kiddos so much but we are excited to celebrate with just the adults on this occasion. We hope this allows you to enjoy "a night off" (we know there's no such thing as a parent but we tried). Kids are more than welcome to join you for the weekend (there is a water park!), we just ask that the tiny humans have an alternate itinerary for Saturday's festivities. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Jay Peak provides free shuttle services to any on-resort location. You will want to call ahead for a shuttle pick up to ensure you arrive on time for the ceremony on Saturday. We will ensure there are shuttles to take guests back to their accommodations from the reception. If you are staying in one of the Tram Side hotels, you will be able to walk indoors back to your room. We will not be providing transportation to off resort locations so please plan ahead and factor in potential snowy conditions when booking your accommodations.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Thank you for asking! There is no need to get us a gift, but if you are kind enough to consider gifting us, Zola is managing our registry. You can navigate to it using the tabs at the top of the website.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We do! We recommend staying on resort to make your weekend seamless. All the information and recommendations you'll need are on the Travel tab of the website!

Question

Will the wedding be outside? Do I need to dress appropriately?

Answer

Our wedding will be indoors at Hotel Jay. If you are staying in any hotel on Tram Side, you will not need to go outside at all to attend our celebration. If you are staying somewhere on resort and will be on the shuttle, we recommend wearing something a bit heartier than your dancing shoes for your short (& warm) commute on the shuttle. Depending on recent weather, the sidewalks could have puddles / snow. Otherwise, everything is inside and you don't need any special "gear" to attend! If you are participating in the party ski on Friday, you will need ski gear and a ski ticket (see 'Things To Do' tab for ski ticket discounts).
