Matron of Honor
Jeana might be Lindsey's big sister, but she sure is tiny! Lindsey's go-to beauty guru, Jeana loves trying out the latest trends and it's not uncommon to see her deep in an Instagram daze going from beauty expert to beauty expert. Lindsey is constantly complimented on how great her "younger" sister looks, so evidently Jeana's beauty routine must be working!
Best Man
Tried and True, Paul is the fullest example of a Big Brother. From whooping Phil on the basketball court as a young child to drilling him in Pre-Calculus in High School, Paul has always taken responsibility to make sure Phil was at an elite level (obviously it worked). Most of Phil's favorite memories involve his big brother. He loves reminiscing on the days when they would drive around for hours just jamming to 90's/early 2000's Rap and R&B with the windows down. With their love of the Lakers, EDM, and crazy light shows, they have most things in common! A spiritual leader, a strong businessman, a defender of family and of course, a wonderful brother, there is no one else Phil would rather have at his side on one of the most monumental moments in his life.
Bride's House Party
Lindsey's go-to River Float buddy, Sarah has been friends with Lindsey with college. A Banana Daiquiri connoisseur, Sarah might come in a small package but she is certainly the firecracker of Lindsey's House Party. Despite her party-starting ways, Sarah is dialed-in during the week as a Neuro PA. Lindsey and Phil are excited to be regular couple-friends with Sarah and her husband Jeff in Austin.
Groom's House Party
A forced friendship to start, Arnell was absolutely NOT having it. As Freshman in 2006 at The University of Texas, Arnell thought the initial one-on-one hangout was all about upcoming business for Freshman Leadership Organization (one of Texas' premiere leadership incubators), but little did he know that Phil was going to declare that by the end of the year, they would be best friends. Through hanging at the Tejas house, to attempting fitness programs and dance lessons, to discussions about the Lakers / Celtics, to being roomies in NYC for nearly 4 years, it's safe to say that Phil was right all along: they were destined to be besties!
Bride's House Party
Despite growing up only twenty minutes from each other and having attended multiple of the same parties together during High School, Lindsey and Nikki never officially met until college. Lindsey refers to Nikki as the "Ron to her Harry (Potter)" and they have the adventures to back it up. This past summer they ventured to Greece and Italy together, but Nikki swears she will never travel with Lindsey again, because Lindsey made her walk 20 miles a day.
Groom's House Party
Tim has played an integral role in mentoring Phil over the course of the last 12 years. A political mastermind, they quickly became friends after his brother, CJ, identified Phil's raw potential and recruited him to the Tejas Club, an elite secret society at The University of Texas. Tim and his entire family have essentially adopted Phil into their clan, and Phil knows to call The Ginn's first in the event of any major life event. Through shenanigans, late SoHo nights, Homemade Happy Hours, Tailgates, Plenty of bean dips and the occasional slumber party, they have forged a friendship that will forever burn.
Bride's House Party
13 years, 3 apartments, multiple trips and countless inside jokes make up the majority of Lindsey and Laureen's relationship. Lindsey's roommate from college, they have stated that if they didn't need actual jobs, they would just lie in bed all day and watch Gilmore Girls. This past Summer, Lindsey flew to Israel to visit Laureen and her family, capping off the trip with a hitchhike adventure to Masada (because they found out the hard way that there was no public transportation near the Dead Sea).
Groom's House Party
Jennifer and Phil go together like Texas and Sunsets, like cold beer on a summer day, like chips and queso. Jennifer has saved Phil from impending doom no fewer than 24 times, most recently picking Phil up from the river when his keys fell in the lake. A much truer friend that her husband, LaNae is a shoulder to cry on, a hug in tough times and a good laugh when all else is lost and Phil is forever grateful for her existence. It's true, Jennifer is the sister that Phil never had and he credits her as being one of the most loyal and true friends he's ever known. #BeanDip
Bride's House Party
Sabrina and Lindsey met at Gracepoint Church in Portland, Texas. Proud members of the same Bible Study group, they instantly bonded over their similarities. Sabrina loves that Lindsey is always dragging her to Sunday afternoon yoga. Sabrina is forever grateful that Lindsey introduced her to her first vegetable (yes, seriously!).
Groom's House Party
The original "Legion of Boom," Phil and Kyle ran the streets from 2006-2010. Legend has it that they were somehow both simultaneously and unanimously voted most eligible bachelors at one point while on campus (circa 2008). Their first meeting resembled a classic stare down between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as they were former High School B.M.O.C.'s, but it quickly turned to laughter and they were inseparable for the entirety of their college career. With no shortage of inside jokes, they bonded over their genuine zeal for life and 90's hip hop / R&B. Together, they ushered the Tejas Club out of "The Dark Ages" during their back-to-back reigns as Xinesi.
Bride's House Party
Anupama, affectionately known as "Anu," is Lindsey's friend from college. Known as the "secretly bougie friend," Lindsey and Anupama always barely missed each other after college, with Anu moving to New York just shortly after Lindsey moved back to Texas. Anu was at Lindsey's side when Linds tripped at Lollapalooza resulting in an infamous black eye.
Groom's House Party
Eric has been Phil's Accountant since 2008. Since meeting in The Tejas Club, they have been die hard Longhorn watch buddies and have quite the Rolodex of shared sporting event memories. It is rumored that during the "Michael Crabtree Incident," they cried in each other's arms for no fewer than 2 hours. Phil was a groomsman in Eric's wedding and Eric has stated, on-the-record, that Lindsey is"the coolest of the Tejas girlfriends / the only Tejas girlfriend he would actually hang out with alone." Eric has been referred to by Phil as "one of the truest friends I've ever known," to which Verbit replied, "Big."
Bride's House Party
Instant buddies since 8 AM Biology in college, Cristina always wanted to sit next to Lindsey in class. And when her roommates were causing trouble, Cristina always wanted to sleep on an air mattress in Lindsey's dorm! Inseparable throughout college, Cristina continued to be Lindsey's biggest cheerleader (and eventually Phil's!). Lindsey is obsessed with Cristina's dog Queso and Phil is obsessed with Cristina's husband Michael and Phil always mispronounces her child's name, Henry, with a French accent (On-Ree).
Groom's House Party
Travis is the "elder statesman" of the Groom's House Party. Outside of Phil's brother, Travis is the longest friendship that Phil has ever had. Their first meeting was on the first day of Kindergarten, in which, on the alphabet rug, they asked each other if they wanted to be friends. Countless hangouts, too many video games, rugby matches (they were ball boys at an early age), adventures in the desert, being young pyros and plenty of adventures later and they are still thick as thieves. Growing up, they had Wookie stuffed animals that they would take everywhere, and no, they aren't embarrassed by that. Phil was a groomsman in Travis' wedding and delivered the speech of the night.
Bride's House Party
Brittany and Lindsey have been friends since college. Notorious for her love of down-and-dirty rap music, Brittany brings non-stop laughs to the group and as a result has been dubbed as "Phil's favorite" of the group. No one would ever assume that this sweet, tiny girl from Spring, Texas would be able to recite any song from Eminem's catalog at the drop of a hat. #LoseYourself
Groom's House Party
Hell Bent, Heaven Sent, "Tailored" Tim Stanton is a class act through and through. Since meeting at Hillsong NYC, Tim and Phil have expressed Bromance to unimaginable levels. From their trademark "YAZ" to their times dominating the Equinox at Bryant Park, Tim and Phil were known throughout the boroughs as NYC's 1-2 Punch. Nowadays they trade rhymes from the latest Andy Mineo songs while discussing future business projects, it's only a matter of time before these two find themselves as partners in Ministry that occasionally frequent the yacht scene in Cannes (for ministry purposes, of course). Tim famously hosted and DJ'd Phil's "Farewell NYC" rooftop party which later got him evicted. #Classic #WhatDoYouMean
Bride's House Party
Ashley has been affectionately referring to Lindsey as "Momma Linds" since college. It's perhaps no surprise that by coincidence, she has always referred to Phil as "Dad." The chronicles of Ashley include trips to DC to visit her, countless rowdy birthday celebrations, Comm Council memories, moving her into the deep innards of Harlem during the middle of the night (Popeye's Chicken run included) and many, many late night phone calls. At the end of the day, Ashley has arguably been one of the biggest champions of Phil and Linds' relationship.
Groom's House Party
Zach is the newcomer of the group, he and Phil go back about 2.5 years to the launch of their church, Planetshakers Austin. An Aussie, Zach and Phil immediately bonded over their love for the NBA and because Phil knew the coolest places in Austin. Phil's proudest achievement is pushing Zach over the edge and converting him into a die-hard Lakers fan. When they aren't helping to build a groundbreaking church, most of their hangouts are centered around coffee or classic N64 games (most of which Phil wins). Zach is incredibly musically talented and sings like a poor man's Bruno Mars.
