Should we bring cash?

Answer

Even though most merchants accept international credit cards, it’s always better to carry cash. USD is widely accepted in Lebanon.

What is the best way to commute?

Answer

Public transportation is not available in Lebanon, and we do not recommend using street taxis. However, Uber and other taxi services are available. If you feel comfortable driving, rental cars are also an option with an American/European driver license.

Do I need a Visa to visit Lebanon?

Answer

Most European, North American, and select Asian and South American passport holders can obtain a Visa upon arrival. Some passport holders must apply for a visa in advance through the Lebanese Consulate. Important Note: Passports with Israeli stamps are not accepted.

While there are some tensions in specific areas, mainly in the South, the rest of Lebanon is safe and welcoming to visitors. Your safety and comfort are our top priority!
