We met through a mutual friend on Facebook, who we both had in common from our UMD college park days. Go figure! We added each other, and we even waited a good while before we met in person. It didn't help that COVID had started. Ramadan 2020 was also coming up, so we said we'd meet at the Bethesda Trolley Trail, given that we both live in Rockville. The rest, my dears, is history. We are so grateful and blessed that our paths crossed. So so grateful.

We knew we were on the path to marriage and a life together long before the rings. Well, once we both had ordered rings for each other, we wanted to do the official thing and have it done in front of family. He came over with his mamma and officially asked for my hand. I also gave him a ring. It was a small intimate occasion which we both wouldn’t have traded for the world. Except, we wish more of our family members could have made it, but that’s okay. They are with us in our hearts. We got engaged in April of 2021.

We would really love to start our lives together, get married, and move into our new home, where we intend to celebrate with friends and family.
