Finally time to celebrate!

2023 was a crazy year. After teaching for 8 years, Leanne changed careers, which also required a cross country move. So we sold the house in Boise, bought one in Bellows Falls, and started our new life in Vermont! While we were originally planning a wedding in Boise, at the historical train depot (as homage to Dr. Thurston), and having a big wedding (complete with a taco truck!) we opted to cancel all plans and elope in Laguna Beach California so Josh's grandparents could be included in the celebration. Our goal was to have the first floor of our house finished before we hosted, but the 150 year flood that hit Vermont last summer had other plans. After flooding our house two weekends in a row, we've decided to start from scratch, and rip up the entire basement to the studs. One month into demolition, our dog Moab tore his ACL, and required knee surgery with a slow 4 month recovery complete with PT and multiple follow up visits. All was going great, and by two months, he was ready to start running again. Until his other knee went out, and ne needed knee replacement surgery on the other knee. Though he's not quite recovered, and the remodel isn't nearly complete, we didn't want to push off celebrating any longer! We hope you can come celebrate but understand if you can't!
