Why not? It made the day feel official to us versus eloping, but that was a close second. Another plus, we did not have to decorate! The room wasn't anything extravagant, but it was perfect for us.
We exchanged vows and rings, swapped bites of cheese cake, and had a private first dance. Wayne (Hannah's dad) knows he still owe's her a dance when they get a chance.
Shout out to my aunt Lindy- a few weeks after Drew and I got engaged she took me to a local shop in Wenatchee that was retiring and shutting down to "look". I wasn't going to buy a dress because we did not know what type of wedding or where we would get married, but with Drews encouragement, I jumped and bought a dress that I fell in love with. I am so grateful to Lindy for her help and expertise in finding the dress and alterations, it couldn't have been more perfect!
Immediate family and a small group of local friends. Once again, we kept it small, intimate, and as simple as we wished.
We have nothing planned for now...but that doesn't mean we don't want to celebrate as we see our family and friends! We have talked about doing a vow renewal and party in the future.
A week after the wedding, we went to Sydney Australia! Since the wedding was a last minute decision, we piggybacked off of this trip that we already had planned and called it our "honeymoon". Things felt like they came together easily and timing made the decision for us, but there will of course be more traveling.
A lot of fun, and home renovations. We look forward to ripping out our master bathroom to the bare bones and making it feel like ours-of course with lots of help. We are also excited to celebrate our friends getting married this year, and taking a few trips along the way.
