Our love story began in January 2010, with something as simple as a Facebook message. One small moment that neither of us could have known would change everything. That message led to a phone call… one that lasted deep into the early morning hours, as if neither of us wanted the night—or each other—to end. Even then, something special had already begun to take shape. By the summer of 2010, everything between us started to shift. We grew closer, more certain, and it felt like we were gently stepping into something meant to be. Then came December 4th, 2010—a night in New York City that we’ll never forget. As we left our wonderful date, we finally said the words our hearts had been holding onto: I love you. In that moment, we made it official… and unknowingly began a journey that would last a lifetime. Looking back now, it’s amazing how something so simple turned into something so deeply meaningful—something beautiful, lasting, and ours. BUT WAIT… there’s one very important chapter we can’t leave out. None of this would have been possible if our paths hadn’t been brought together by someone special. A close friend of Norval’s, who happened to attend the same college as me, became the bridge between our worlds. So from the bottom of our hearts—thank you, Ajay, for playing matchmaker. The night of November 26th, 2025, the day before Thanksgiving, I thought I was simply getting dressed to attend my younger sister’s job Thanksgiving gala . What I didn’t know was that my fiancé, along with our family and friends, had carefully planned a beautiful surprise that would change my life forever. Everyone played their part perfectly. I got ready thinking it was just another elegant event, completely unaware that the people I love most were secretly part of a plan to create one of the most unforgettable moments of my life. When we arrived, everything felt special, but I still had no idea what was about to happen. Then suddenly, the night took a turn I never expected. Surrounded by the love of our family and friends, the man I love got down on one knee and asked me the question that would begin our next chapter together. You want to know what’s ironic? We were in the same 4th grade class as each other back in elementary school! Till this day we cannot remember each other! 10 years later, our paths crossed again! God really know best!! Now back to that magical night…. In that moment, all the laughter, the planning, the secrets, and the love that went into that night became clear. What I thought was a Thanksgiving gala turned out to be the most beautiful surprise — the night WE said yes to forever.
