We are so excited to celebrate with you!!

My best friend and I were at our favorite neighborhood bar Atkins Park venting about another stressful week of work and relaxing with some of our favorite beers. Two girls, just trying to have a nice conversation... but this guy across the bar just kept looking at us! I admittedly couldn't stop catching eyes with him either ; ) As all of you know, Josh is not very bashful, so he walked right up to us and introduced himself! At first, I was expecting the standard resume questions from another "Highlands Bro"... but Josh surprised us! We quickly found conversation connecting about our love of traveling and having gone to similar places around the world. His face lit up when he told me about his summer swim team he loves coaching, which ignited a reminiscent conversation of my own love of childhood swim team and lessons from my Papa. We also connected on our careers with children being a nurse and a teacher. I felt like he was genuinely a nice guy! But even after a great first connection and number exchange... I still skirted his MANY invitations for dates over the next few months! How rude of me!! Finally after the New Year, I realized that nice, tall guy from Atkins wasn't reaching out to me anymore! I guess its true, you don't know what you've got till it's gone! So I humbly reached back out and asked him to forgive me for months of flightiness and go on a date finally. Honestly, I just had a feeling on that first date (haha singing Karaoke at Todd's!!!) that this guy was going to be different. It was easy to fall in love with him as the love and genuine care he puts into every relationship was evident from the start. I am so lucky to have found my perfect partner to do life with... and to keep going to Atkins Park with too!
