Our Story

Covid Couples>>Other Couples

Sarah and John were both born and raised in Albany, Georgia, coincidentally just minutes down the road from each other. While they went to high school together, both enjoying similar activities like soccer, YoungLife, cooking, and comedy, it wasn't until sophomore year of college, while they were home due to the pandemic that they found their way back into eachothers’ lives. Sarah & John quickly found that they had a lot in common like enjoying quality food, traveling, new adventures, being outdoors, and spending time with their loved ones. Just after a few dates, they decided to continue their relationship into college: separate colleges...John from Alabama (we do not hold it against him) and Sarah from UGA (woooo). In fact, until we celebrate the special wedding day, Sarah and John will have never lived in the same town. That hasn't held them back from building a wonderful relationship together rooted in faith. The countdown at the bottom of this website means more than just a wedding. It means that for the first time, the couple will have the opportunity to live together, start a family together, and continue doing the things that they love together. Thank you all for being here to celebrate this special day with them.

Our Engagement Story

Who Knew Meets The Robinsons was a Romance!

On April 19th, Sarah and John walked into what she thought was a “Flashback Cinema” movie of Meet the Robinsons. While all the signs were there, the movie being the exact movie from one of their first dates, very few people in the theatre (the videographers), and John drinking her entire Icee, so she would not have to leave for the bathroom, she was clueless to the events to follow. Sarah was watching the Time Machine break, but instead of a scene from the movie, a cartoon came on the screen. The cartoon characters, which she soon discovered were John and her, opened a ring box, but to their dismay, there was no ring. While looking around for the ring, they finally give up and point to the real showstopper of the hour, John with the ring safely in the box in front of her. Sarah said YES (a few cartwheels and bear hug for John) with her family and friends flowing in not soon after. The day was perfect, but not only because John planned everything to a “T”, but because this was the day they knew they would have their best friend in their lives from this day and forever.

Who is the funny one in the relationship?

The jury is still out for debate.
