How We Met

Our love story is nowhere near a "Peach of Cake"

Ian and I met in an online chat room in 2008. I knew that I instantly liked him because he laughed at all my jokes, and I know I'm not that funny! It wasn't long after our first time talking that Ian told me he would deny anyone's request to chat with him, but when I first sent him a request, he decided to take a chance. I'm sure you can now assume where that chance has taken us! Long distance was one of the hardest things we both have gone through. I'm sure one can imagine the heartache of not being with the person you love. Even though, like I said, it wasn't anywhere near a "Peach of cake" it was the best thing that has happened to us! Now the distance is over, and we are getting MARRIED! (YES I SAID IT!), I can't wait for what the next chapter in our lives will hold.

How He Proposed

11/11/2017

Ian and I took a trip up to Tennessee in early November of 2017. We went to Ruby falls and Look out Mountain. We first took a tour around Ruby falls with the best tour guide ever! After that, we hiked around Look Out Mountain. Now, for the people who do not know about Look Out Mountain, when you reach the top of this mountain, you are able to see 7 states at the same time! It's truly amazing! When we (FINALLY) reached the top, we were able to take in all the beautiful scenery in front of us. It was then that Ian decided to throw out his southern charm and started talking about how long we have been together and how far we have come in our relationship. I'm sure you think this is where I get all girly and know what is about to happen. Yeah, you're wrong. Kristin, oblivious as always, still had no idea! We eventually started walking over to this one area called Tortoise Rock, which, you guessed it, it's a rock that looks like a turtle. It was truly the cutest place! It wasn't long after that that Ian threw his sweet talk out again and started to reach into his pocket. Before I could grasp the whole idea, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! That was just one of the many starts to our beginning!
