In the many neighborhoods of downtown there are some of the best restaurants and bars - from fancy steak and martinis to pitchers of beer and chicken wings. Each neighborhood with it's own charm and hidden gems! SOME OF LILLIE'S FAVORITE SPOTS INCLUDE: • The Royal American *grab a personal pitcher of Lillie's favorite, Miller Highlife • Blind Tiger *espresso martinis on the patio • Bar Mash *mussels or burgers are the go-to • Salty Mike's Bar *our favorite dive right by the water, make sure to try a pickle shot! • Revelry Brewing *a rooftop draft beer or glass of bubbles! • Stella's *the perfect dinner spot, grab a seat at the bar for the best service! • Leon's Oyster Shop *anything and everything on the menu, make sure to grab soft serve for dessert!
A middle mark from downtown to the beach, over in Mount Pleasant, you can stumble upon Shem Creek which has a more laid-back feel. It's a great spot for meals or drinks with walking trails along the marsh. This area has amazing views and sunsets like none other. SOME OF LILLIE'S FAVORITE SPOTS INCLUDE: • Waters Edge *best happy hour in town with a view of the creek to catch dolphins • The Wreck of Richard & Charlene *a local secret, some of the best seafood & southern eats you'll ever have **FUN FACT - this is the restaurant they filmed as Kiara's family's restaurant in Outer Banks • Red's Ice House *a Charleston icon with a great bar staff and casual bar eats, head up to the Crow's Nest for the best sunset view • Juanita Greenberg's Nacho Royale *away from the creek but the best tacos & beer deal in town (we suggest 2 steak on corn with a juan's draft)
More of a local's beach and Lillie's favorite place in Charleston (station 22 to be exact) where you can enjoy a quieter day at the beach and then wander over to Hometeam BBQ for a legendary gamechanger or Obstinate Daughter for a perfect pizza.
This beach has public parking and public restaurants along with dozens of restaurants and shops to explore before and after a beach day! You can't go wrong with a beer at the Dinghy or a rooftop Miami vice at Coconut Joe's.
