Normandie was a transplant coming to pursue her dream job. Marcus was a native Syracusan and a new cat dad. Upon their meeting and learning that Marcus had a ceramics studio and 3 cats, Normandie promptly invited herself over. After a few living room conversations and a New Year's Eve date at Denny's, they decided to start dating. A year of adventures ensued: long nights in the studio, several road trips for Marcus's ceramic markets and Normandie's comic shows and several episodes of Dune, Fallout and the Walton's (they are aware of their eclectic taste). While on their Florida vacation, Marcus asked Normandie to go on a drive and he proposed on the beach.
