It all began in the fall of 2020 at the Eskrom Library of the University of Louisville. We were supposed to be working with a group on a school project, but as fate would have it, the others never showed up. It was just the two of us, and we quickly turned what could have been a frustrating situation into something wonderful. Week after week, we met up to tackle the project, bonding over late-night study sessions and shared snacks. What started as a school assignment transformed into long conversations, laughter, and a connection that felt effortless. Before we knew it, we were more than just project partners; we were falling for each other. Our first official date was a memorable one. We visited Huber Winery, where we took a tour to learn about the winemaking process. Walking through the vineyard, tasting different wines, and getting to know each other better felt magical. It was a perfect start to our relationship. By spring of 2022, after both of us graduated from college, we decided to take a big step and move in together. Life was busy as Grace began her MBA the following fall, but we supported each other through every challenge. She graduated a year later, and to celebrate her achievement, we took a trip to Italy—Grace’s first time out of the country. Exploring the streets of Rome and the stunning landscapes of Tuscany, we created unforgettable memories together. Summer 2024 was another highlight for us. We went on a Caribbean cruise, soaking up the sun and enjoying each other’s company. On July 2nd, while we were in St. John, Norman proposed to Grace on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen—one that was also a national park. It felt like the perfect place to start the next chapter of our lives. Through it all, our love for each other has only grown, and our adventures exploring national parks together have become some of our most cherished moments. From that chance meeting at the library to planning a future together, we can't wait to see where our journey takes us next.
