From the moment they first held hands, Norma and James felt something unlike anything they had ever experienced—an unexplainable connection that could only be described as supernatural. Soon, they found themselves at Alabama’s first game of the 2024 season. As rain poured down, soaking them completely, they realized they could weather any storm together—both in life and in love. And with Alabama’s dominant 63-0 victory over Western Kentucky, it felt like a sign of even greater things to come. Then came the third weekend of October. Norma’s phone rang—James, sounding frantic, told her his car had broken down at Sportsman Lake. Without hesitation, she rushed to help, only to find a message directing her to meet him on the bridge. As she arrived, the soft melody of *"You Are Worth the Wait"* by Spencer Crandall filled the air. And in that perfect moment, beneath the October sky, they shared their first kiss. Then, Norma met James’s five beautiful children—and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with them. After attending *Crossing Over Jordan* and seeking wisdom from family and the counsel of David and Lynn, James and Norma knew without a doubt that Jesus was calling them to marriage.
