Don loves Mexican food, that’s a fact. On his way home from work, especially after the long days, he frequented his favorite Mexican restaurant where a special women, with a smile and personality that cured all of his woes, made him his favorite tacos. The wait in line was always the tricky part as he weaved back (and sometimes forward) to have his order taken by Norma. Although they couldn’t communicate using the same language, they connected on a different level that always stuck after every encounter. One day, after Google searching “romantic phrases in Spanish” and “how to ask a girl out in Spanish” followed by numerous practice attempts with his rear view mirror he mustered up the courage to ask Norma out to dinner. Sure that she was out of his league, he never expected to hear from her... and he was right! Fast forward 6 weeks and 4 more attempts, his phone buzzed late on a Wednesday night from an unknown number simply with the message “hi”. He was sure it was another spam message and ready to delete it but the thought occurred and he replied “is this my favorite taco chef?!”. And it sure was! As the saying goes, the rest is history.
