FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

All RSVPs will be handled by mail via an RSVP card that you should receive in your wedding invitation. Please mail them back by March 28th.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Please refer to the names and number of seats reserved on your invitation.

Question

Are our children welcome?

Answer

With both of us coming from very large families, we wish we could have included everyone’s children. Unfortunately, we had to limit our invitations to direct cousins of the bride and groom, as well as our nieces and nephews.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

The dress code is formal cocktail attire. For women, this includes cocktail dresses or gowns (i.e., no sundresses). For men, this would be a suit and tie in a dark color like black, navy blue or charcoal grey with a dress shirt and dress shoes.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking in the church parking lot as well as the parking lot at the Pittsburgh Marriott North (reception venue).

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, both locations are handicap accessible. At Saints John and Paul, the handicap parking and entrance are on the right side of the church. There is also a ramp at the main entrance of the church. At the Pittsburgh Marriott North, there are no steps into the venue.

Question

What will the weather be like in Pittsburgh in May?

Answer

We are praying for sunshine on May 17th, but Spring weather can be unpredictable. When packing, we recommend you prepare for sun, the unfortunate rain, and some layers for if it gets cooler in the evening. Both the ceremony and reception are indoors.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving to Saints John and Paul Church 20 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to find a seat, settle in and say some prayers (we would appreciate any and all prayers for our marriage!)

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from photography during the Mass. After the ceremony and at the reception, please take as many photos as you would like (and we hope you share them with us!)

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

There will not be a shuttle to/from the church and hotel. For our out of town guests without a car, reserving a rental car or utilizing ride sharing services are recommended. For ride sharing, please give a bit more time for your driver to arrive due to being in the suburbs. Saints John and Paul Catholic Church is about ~10 minutes (3.3 miles) away from The Pittsburgh Marriott North (reception venue & room block hotel).

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Due to our Catholic wedding ceremony taking place between 1:00pm and 2:15pm, there is a gap between the wedding and the beginning of the cocktail hour at 5pm. For our out of town guests not familiar with the area, there are numerous restaurants and bars in Cranberry near the reception where we hope your group can relax, have a drink and snack, and visit before the celebration begins!

Question

Can you provide more detail on the menu for the wedding?

Answer

Answer
