We are moving forward with a two-phase approach to our wedding events. We will still have a small wedding this summer, on 8/29/20, during which we will practice social distancing measures. For those who cannot attend this year, we will have a second wedding/party sometime in the Summer of 2021 (date TBD). Stay tuned for more details. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone once it is safe to do so!
1. All events will take place outside or in the pole barn (with the garage doors open on each end and ample room to spread out). 2. We ask that everyone keep a distance of 6 ft. from anyone outside their family/pod. 3. If you cannot keep your distance, kindly wear a mask. 4. We will have extra masks and ample hand sanitizer, plus a hand washing station available. 5. All food and drink will be served to guests in order to minimize surface contact. 6. To the extent possible, please eliminate any unnecessary community exposures leading up to the wedding. 7. The bride and groom plan to quarantine in the two weeks prior to the wedding.
All events (including the wedding & reception) will take place at Nora's family cabin on Upper Eau Claire Lake. The nearest small town is Barnes, WI; however, the official mailing address is in Solon Springs, WI. Please see the "details" card on your invitation for the exact house address. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about directions or ideal routes!
Unfortunately, there is very limited lodging directly on Upper Eau Claire Lake. If you are still looking for a place to stay, we encourage you to check out the "travel and lodging" tab on our website for potential options.
Cocktail attire is encouraged (but we are open to your interpretation of what that means). Be forewarned, the terrain for the evening may include any combination of dirt, mud, rocks, gravel, grass, and the forest floor.
Great question. Wish we knew! It could range from 45 and rainy to 80 and sunny. Bring layers and check the forecast regularly. Rain or shine, we will make it work.
Yes indeed! All weekend events will be family-friendly. We hope to have a variety of activities and crafts that can be enjoyed by all ages and developmental stages.
