Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 10th. If you do not RSVP and show up anyway please plan on foraging for your meal. https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/wnrmag/2021/Spring/Forage.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

"The beauty of nature lies in its wild unpredictability." We'll be near the lake and in the woods, so please dress with the weather and landscape in mind. Sundresses and button-downs are just fine, but our main priority is your comfort! We suggest warm layers for getting cozy around the campfire after dinner, shoes that can handle dancing, and maybe a change of clothes if you plan on jumping in the water!

Question

How rustic is the venue?

Answer

That's a great question. Very. The bathrooms are essentially porta-potties and do not come equipped with running water. The chances that you will have poor cell service are likely. We see this as an opportunity to remain present with one another on this very special day.

Question

Are kids and babies invited?

Answer

Yes! There's nothing more adorable than a toddler on the dance floor. That said, our reception venue is in a densely wooded location with access to open water, so young guests will require very close supervision. We will have a designated space to provide privacy for nursing moms, diaper changes, and a quiet spot for taking a break if needed. We will also have Lunchables and juice boxes available to grab during the cocktail hour so younger kiddos don't have to wait for dinner or stand in line. If you prefer to make this a relaxing adult night out, that's fine too...we have decided to keep our four-legged, 75lb three-year-old at home for this reason.

Question

Accessibility at ceremony and reception

Answer

Ceremony: Our ceremony venue is at the base of a steep hill, there will be a golf cart available to transport those with mobility challenges. Reception: There is a one-way loop through Burnett Youth Camp for vehicles. Cars carrying guests with limited mobility will be able to use this route to enter the camp and drop-off passengers who require assistance.

Question

Parking

Answer

Ceremony: There will be attendants available to direct parking. Reception: Street parking is permitted outside of the reception venue on Eliot Johnson Road and Lunsman Drive. Thank you for parking with consideration for other guests and neighborhood residents.
