Our Love Story

Nora Ntsiba

I met the man of my dreams six years ago during a dear friend’s birthday celebration, a weekend filled with laughter and joy in the heart of Philadelphia and later, New York. Just before parting ways, we decided to take a few pictures together to capture the memories of that memorable weekend. Looking back, that first photo wasn’t just a snapshot of the moment, it was the beginning of something truly special. Later that day, we exchanged contacts and started a conversation that would change our lives forever. From the moment we began talking, it became clear that our meeting was no coincidence—it was a divine plan. Though our first year was marked by the challenges of a long-distance relationship, it only made me realize that I had found my soulmate, my forever companion. By the grace of God, after a year of being apart, we were finally reunited, and since that day, we’ve been each other’s anchor, navigating life’s steps with unwavering love and support. Throughout the challenges of medical school and residency, we have stood by each other, offering unconditional support and love every step of the way. In Wilson, I’ve found my balance, my peace, and my greatest joy. I can’t wait to walk hand in hand with him into forever. Dear Lord, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and humility. I pray that You guide us through this journey, holding us steadfast in Your grace and love. For as it is written: “And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.” Lord, I thank You endlessly, for You have blessed me with the gift of finding my other half—the one You created just for me. May our union always reflect Your divine plan, and may we honor You in all that we do together.

Our Love Story

Wilson Nyah

2017 was quite a year for me. I was in the second half of an accelerated master’s program, juggling long hours of studying, late nights in the lab, and extra time driving for Uber and tutoring. As you can imagine, I had no time—not even to date. Pathetic! Amidst this chaos, a friend invited me to a celebration in Philadelphia. I saw it as an opportunity to reset. Little did I know, that night would change my life. That’s where I met Nora. Our first interaction? I was mediating an argument between her and her roommate—smh. The next day, some of us from the party went to New York for brunch. As we took group pictures, I noticed her sitting alone. I invited her to join us, and that was that. I flew back to LA, but before leaving, we exchanged Facebook contacts. Two weeks later, she reached out to say hello and that she had a great time. We started talking, and within weeks, I was fascinated by her. Despite my busy schedule, we somehow ended up talking every night. Before I knew it, I had fallen for her—her beauty, intelligence, calm demeanor, simplicity, ambition, and most of all, her deep faith in God. We began dating—me in LA, her in NY—cautiously optimistic but aware of the uncertainties ahead. What if I got into medical school in California? What if she finished school and returned to France? Could we even make a long-distance relationship work? Because of these doubts, we kept our relationship a secret for almost a year, thinking it wouldn’t last. But in my heart, I knew I had found a treasure worth the gamble. The more I got to know Nora, the more I admired her resilience, simplicity, and, let’s be honest, how strikingly attractive she was. I couldn’t let this opportunity slip away. Fast forward years later, and God removed all our uncertainties. She became a permanent resident, I got into medical school near her, and later, she got into the same school. It was truly divine providence. Now, she is my better half and steady rock. I trusted God and placed our love in HIS hands, and I have been blessed with an incredible life partner. May God grant me the grace to continue loving and cherishing this treasure I have found.
