Visa and Customs
You do not need a visa to enter Nicaragua for less than 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months before the expiration date to enter the country. At customs you will be asked to pay $10 in cash for the tourist visa card. ( Exact change) In order to have a smooth entry into the country, AVOID bringing NON-ESSENTIAL ELECTRONICS! For example, if possible, only bring one phone and one laptop per person. Do not bring video game consoles, drones, professional cameras, etc. If you find the need to bring a second laptop (for work), you will be asked at customs to prove that it is a work laptop.
