The class we were all waiting for - physiology of digestion. The professor was known for bringing in doughnuts and I had been thinking about it all week. I tried to play it cool when he brought in multiple boxes with doughnuts in every variety. I took my time heading down to the front evaluating each type doughnut. I had mentally claimed one of the sprinkle ones as I slowly moved to the front of the line. Out of no where, with two sprinkle doughnuts left, some guy comes bounding down the stairs and grabs the last two to head back to his seat. I couldn't believe it, I kept staring at the back of his head all lecture. If I was ever going to forgive anyone in the world for stealing a doughnut, it would be him :)

We were on our neurology rotation, and we both kept "serendipitously" running into each other in the medical school study before the rotation would start. I had a project to work on and Mark would work out then sit with me while working on research. We had mandatory lunches together and started saving seats for each other - until Mark recommended we complete the trifecta and go to dinner together too. We met at Agave & Rye in Covington and had the best night filled with steak tacos. We went to Braxton Brewery after and had already planned to meet up the next morning, same time same place, and set up a second date to attend a Vims concert at Northside Tavern followed by the Neurosurgery Christmas party.
