FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal. Think suits (tie/bowtie optional), and midi to long dresses or elegant cocktail attire. We can't wait to see everyone looking their best!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we kindly request an adults-only celebration with the exception of the bride's nieces and nephews.

Question

Will the reception be outside?

Answer

Yes! It is on a rooftop overlooking the ocean.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We're still figuring this piece out, but the ceremony and reception locations are very close (just 0.5 miles apart). Please note: the walk from the church to the reception does include a steep downhill.

Question

Are Ubers and Lyfts easy to get?

Answer

Yes! Ride shares are readily available at all hours in the area.

Question

What's the weather like in La Jolla in September?

Answer

La Jolla in late September typically offers beautiful, sunny weather; think warm days around 76 degrees and cooler evenings near 66 degrees. That said, weather is ultimately in God's hands. We recommend bringing light layers just in case the ocean breeze picks up in the evening. We'll also have cozy fire pits at the reception.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP, and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Question

What should I do in the area while I'm in town?

Answer

La Jolla is full of great things to see and do--beaches, sea lions, amazing restaurants, and beautiful coastal walks. We've listed our favorite spots in the 'Things To Do' section on the site to help you plan your visit.
