Things To Do in Bangkok

Bangkok is one of the great cities of the world and offers recreation for all types of people. Please refer to the following map for general destinations and notable locations. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1WM-HJOvPsw8-NgR8p3whdvzeTsMOT64l&usp=sharing Here are a few of the couple's favorite things to do:

Food

Don't eat the bugs unless you want to do it for the gram.

Street vendors are your best bet for affordable, authentic Thai food. Bangkok also offers world-class international food options and Michelin rated restaurants, so the world is your หอยนางรม. Check out this list for the most hyped street vendors. https://www.willflyforfood.net/bangkok-food-guide-12-must-eat-restaurants-in-bangkok-thailand/

Shopping

Where can I find knock off Birkenstocks?

Answer: MBK and Chatuchak. You can buy unique and artisan crafts and clothing from many outdoor markets across Bangkok. The Chatuchak Weekend market is open everyday, but really pops off on Sundays. Head over for an evening at Asiatique, an open air market with shopping food, drinks, and music next to the Chaopraya River. Major malls like Siam Paragon and Central World contains everything you could possibly need from name brand stores and restaurants to aquariums and bowling alleys.

Massages

Best Combo is the Foot+Head/Shoulder

There are massage parlors on almost every street. Take advantage of the cheapest and best massage you'll ever get. Consider getting one to cool off or during your break from shopping. The price averages at $10 an hour. Head down the street to Health Land, Sathorn (10 minute walk from The Standard Hotel) for an hour of foot massage (400 baht/$12 an hour).

Night Life

We know you are overwhelmed with choices

We recommend hitting one of the many rooftop bars to see BKK city at night (the highest one is located at the Standard!) Khaosarn road is another popular destination for backpackers if you are looking for more of a party vibe.
