Wedding Party

Joe and I are profoundly lucky to have this eclectic group of humans in our lives, and by our sides, for this exciting day.

Elena Wolf

Officiant

Elena and Becca met on a horse farm in East Texas when they were five or six. The two were best friends from then on, even when Becca moved to Colorado at the age of nine. Against all odds, this long distance friendship was maintained through the turmoils of JH/HS via lengthy phone calls, mannnnnny letters (keep in mind this was pre internet, folks) and periodic visits. This is where they solidified their bond, which has only intensified as adults. It's a very special sisterhood that has spanned across 30+ years and will thrive until the end of their days.

Maeve Myers

Bridesmaid

Becca is almost a decade older than all of her Myers cousins and the first three born were BOYS! It wasn't until "Maevey-do" was born that there was finally another girl in the mix. Obviously, this made for a pretty special bond from the get-go. But an even stronger bond was formed when Becca moved to Minnesota to attend college, and lived with her aunt and uncle, when Maeve was only seven. So they became sister cousins (or "scousins" if you will). They are related by chance but are ride or die by choice. Even their dogs are besties.

Beth Bernhardt-Weller

Bridesmaid

Beth went to HS with Joe and so it was through him that she and Becca met. The two became good friends right away, but quickly realized their friendship was unique -- more like a partnership. And thus the label of "wifey" was born. The two operate on this incredible and highly efficient level when facing any task/challenge. They provide endless amounts of love and support to one another (sometimes to a sickening degree) and are both proud to have the other in their corner.

Catie Kerber

Bridesmaid

Catie has been friends with both Becca and Joe for many years. She was one of the very first friends Becca made when she moved to Minnesota and they hit it off immediately. They share a passion for music and have spent many evenings singing duets in the garage (most frequently "Come What May" from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack -- usually trading back and forth between the two parts). Always fun to be had for these two. Interestingly, for many of the years Catie and Becca were friends, Catie was also friends with Joe. However, Becca and Joe (somehow) managed not to cross paths until much later, but definitely thanks to Catie! She played a monumental part in the beginning of this love story.

Jessica Shook

Bridesmaid

Becca and Jess met the summer before Becca moved to CO, but did not become classmates until 5th grade. From that time on (with only a brief sabbatical in 6th grade) the two were thick as thieves and eventually took on the nickname of Thelma and Louise -- but more for the fiercely strong and independent factors than the criminal aspects. Obviously. Ha. These gals, along with their closest classmates (Tia, Betsy, Kyla, Nate, Mac, Nick, Rama and Bode) accomplished many great things for their class, and the school, as a whole. This class was truly a force to be reckoned with, and will forever share a unique bond. As for Thelma and Louise, exactly 20 years post graduation, and they are still going strong, with no plummeting cliffs in sight.

Rachel Peterson

Bridesmaid

Becca met Rachel Mathews Band (RMB, if you will) at her first job out of college, where they worked together in the catering division of Cossetta's. Both very unique versions of only children, the two were instantly connected, almost like twins. I mean, I don't really know many other people who can legit have conversations without actually using any words. While Joe was deployed overseas (the first year he and Becca were together) Becca got laid off and had to move out of her apartment. Rachel graciously took her in, but I don't think either knew it would end up being the most effortless cohabitation either of them (at that point) had ever experienced. Two pes in a pod. Twins.

Emily Westmark

Bridesmaid

Emily is Catie's little sister and since Becca basically adopted herself into the Walstrom family, when she moved to MN, Emily kind of became Becca's little sister, too. In fact, it has not been uncommon for Emily to lean on the sisterly advice of both Catie and Becca, over the years. Emily, Becca, and Catie always have a ton of fun together, even when Emily is subjected to Catie and Becca's performance of Come What May (over and over and over). Always a good sport and one of the sweetest little sisters, anyone could ever ask for!

Ricky Egstad

Groomsman

Ricky is Joe's older brother and sufficiently helped pave the way to all the "delightful" trouble making these brothers got themselves into as kiddos. After hearing years of stories, one not only wonders how *they* survived, but also how their folks did! Never a dull moment with the Egstad boys, that's for sure. As adults (somehow surviving their childhoods) these guys tend to stay out of trouble (relatively speaking) and all share a love for the outdoors. Ricky especially loves to hunt, fish (ice fishing included bc we are crazy in MN) and practice target shooting.

Jeff Egstad

Groomsman

Jeff is Joe (and Ricky's) younger brother. Easily escaping much of the blame for trouble making as kids (pretty sweet gig to be the baby of the family) he really doesn't have the same reputation for trouble making as the other two. Not to say he didn't have his hand in the chaos, but certainly to a lesser degree. Nobody knows how these guys survived some of the shenanigans they were involved in with each other (and/or their friends) as kids. At any rate, Jeff managed to live to see adulthood (ugh) and eventually became Becca's arch nemesis (aka the closest thing to a true little brother she has ever had). Haha. Jeff and Joe do a ton of stuff together and share damn near all interests, which is handy. For a little brother, he's pretty alright. Maybe.

Cory Kahn

Groomsman

Cory (the Kahn man) has been friends with Joe since Cory worked with Adam and Tyler at O'Riley's, back in the day. Cory and Joe became friends easily and share a very similar sense of humor, which might just scare the average person away. Far, far away. But not Becca! Cory and his wife Sarah (Director of Operations) welcomed Joe into their clan, with open arms - and later, Becca, as well. There's a whole collection of shenanigans that surround that timeline, but then - there's pretty much an abundance of shenanigans that typically surrounds this entire group, so....par for the course.

Adam Olson

Groomsman

Adam and Joe have been friends since H.S. (roughly 22 years) but have also lived together for many years - and even worked together at O’Reilly auto parts. Joe moved in with Adam after he got out of his active duty Army contract in 2008. Becca moved to Adam's, after Joe returned from his 2nd tour, in 2012 and after the previous newlyweds (Matt and Beth) had moved out. Becca and Joe rented from Adam until 2017, so they were all roomies for a solid chunk of time. Adam and Joe have shared many a night just hanging out and enjoying a few beers. A tradition that lives on to this day - especially now that Becca and Joe recently bought a house nearby (next neighborhood over). Plenty of good times still to be had.

Matt Bernhardt

Groomsman

Joe has known Matt for 22 years. The friendship blossomed over very high spirited games of hacky sack in high school and countless hours spent at Perkins drinking coffee. Matt is easily one of the most loyal friends Joe or Becca could ever ask for. He and Joe are also the best sports ever, when Beth and Becca are off in their own little wifey world. Haha.

Tyler Kerber

Groomsman

Tyler is Catie's husband and therefore, has been friends with Joe for years. But even longer friends with Becca, as she was there the night he and Catie met. Due to their shared love of hunting, and multiple friends in common, Tyler and Joe became fast friends, while working for O’Reilly auto parts together. Anyone else feel like O'Reillys should be sponsoring this wedding?? Lol. Anyway, Tyler is easily one of the greatest guys Becca and Joe know.

Sarah Kahn

Director of Operations

Sarah and her husband Cory (groomsman) have been friends with Joe for over a decade - but didn't meet Becca until right before Becca and Joe got together. Sarah has always been an excellent friend to both Joe and Becca, plus she is always up for those previously mentioned shenanigans. Undoubtedly fun to be around, but Sarah also knows when to step up and make shit happen! That is how her unique role in the wedding was born. Becca and Joe are lucky to have this incredible woman helping to direct their epic day.

Mari Daniels-Myers

Head of Security

Even though there is a 20 year age difference between Becca and Mari, they share a special only child cousins bond. Pretty much another sister/cousin situation. Mari is easily one of the calmest, level-headed (read: responsible), and companionate people in the Myers family, which is how she ended up with her unique role in the wedding. Working remote, from (most likely) the dance floor, Mari can be trusted to keep the shenanigans low key and the party secured, at all times. Becca and Joe could not ask for better peace of mind. Lol.

Keely Myers

Usherette

Keely is another cousin of Becca's with a 20 year gap between them. And though they have not spent a giant amount of time together (particularly after Keely/her fam moved to FL) it turns out that Keely and Becca share many of the same characteristics (of awesome - obviously). Some things just run in the family, I guess. :) Keely will be helping people figure out their seating at the wedding, and then tearing it up with head of security (and her sister), on the dance floor.

Etta Myers

Usherette

Etta is over 20 years younger than Becca. She (currently) holds the title of baby in the family, making her and Becca two opposite bookends for this generation of Myers kids. The first and the last. Etta is one of the most vibrant personalities in the whole Myers lot. Etta will help her sister Keely navigate seating at the ceremony and then you better believe she will be dancing the night away, with the rest of the "younger cousins" crew. :)
