Question

Will there be transportation provided to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Newport Trolleys will be transporting guests from the following locations: Hammett’s Hotel (at the Red Parrot) - 2:30pm Newport Marriott - 2:30pm Sonesta Select - 2:45pm If you are not staying at the hotels serviced by the trolleys, we recommend driving to the venue or walking to one of the hotels to take a shuttle as Uber is limited in Bristol.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black-tie welcome. We request that men wear a tuxedo or a dark-colored suit with a tie. Ladies are recommended to wear a floor-length gown. For the welcome party, coastal cocktail includes sundresses or nice pants with a blouse for women and button downs with dress pants, with or without a jacket, for men. We recommend light fabrics and bright colors!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us! Please reach out to Katie or Derek if you need help finding a local sitter!

Please refer to your invitation and RSVP on the website. We will only be able to accommodate those listed by name on your invitation.

Is there parking at the church and reception venue?

Answer

St. Michael’s does not have a designated parking lot, however, there is ample street parking around the church and multiple public lots within walking distance. Blithewold has free parking on property.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors and tented. We recommend women bring a sweater or a shawl in case of cooler evening weather.
