We Eloped!

On Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00 am, Victoria and Nolan said I do in front of their immediate families. It was a perfect day with a perfect backdrop. They chose to get married on Sentinel Beach in Yosemite Valley with Yosemite Falls flowing in the background. After the intimate ceremony, their photographer captured beautiful pictures with their families. Once all the family pictures were done with, they were off with their photographer to take pictures in front beautiful landmarks within Yosemite Valley. Some of the spots they posed in front of are: Lower Yosemite Falls, Cook’s Meadow, Half Dome, Yosemite Valley Chapel, Sentinel Beach and the Merced River. After 6 1/2 years of dating, Victoria was patiently waiting for Nolan to pop the question. Nolan asked Victoria to go on their third trip to the beautiful Sedona, Arizona. Victoria was very hopeful that this would finally be the trip that Nolan would propose on, but she didn't get her hopes up too much. Little did she know, Nolan was planning this for a long time. After, a long day of hiking and unexpected traffic they finally made it to the proposal site (Crescent Moon Picnic Site) just before sunset, like Nolan planned. An older couple asked Victoria to take a picture of them on their 25th wedding anniversary. While Victoria was distracted taking photos, Nolan typed, "I'm going to propose. Please take a video" on his phone. Once Victoria was finished taking their pictures, Nolan asked if they could take their picture on his phone. Nolan handed the woman his phone with the secret message on the screen. They stood with the beautiful red rock in the background and posed for some pictures. Nolan then dropped to one knee and asked Victoria for her hand in marriage. Victoria and Nolan were so in the moment, they did not realized that the woman could not figure out how to take a video or a picture on Nolan's phone and missed it all. That being said, we do not have any video or photos of the actual proposal, but we instead have a funny proposal story and a lifelong memory.

Nolan and Victoria attended the same high school. They never really talked to each other, but they had mutual friends. One night during Nolan's senior year and Victoria's junior year of high school that all changed. Nolan was hanging out in a friend's jacuzzi after a long day of water polo games and Victoria happened to show up there. As the night went on, some of their friends dared Victoria and Nolan to kiss each other and the rest is history.
