Welcome Party: Lawn Party Chic (left photo) Enjoy an evening on the Riverfront Lawn. Come ready for a fun outdoor celebration. Think colorful sundresses, playful prints, matching sets, linen shirts, and chinos. Choose something polished yet comfortable and please leave the jeans and flip-flops at home! Wedding Day: Coastal Formal (right photo) Celebrate with us on the beautiful grounds of the Crane Cottage. Embrace the feel of the Southern Coast of Georgia with polished formal attire in vibrant colors, fun prints, stylish suits, and statement accessories. Keep your look polished and elevated—but don’t be afraid to have a little fun! For normal resort dining, the hotel is relatively relaxed, with resort casual attire appropriate for most settings.
While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you’re able to enjoy a weekend away with us on Jekyll Island!
Due to the size of our celebration, we’re only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on your invitation. If your invitation includes a guest, their name will be listed when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
We have reserved a room block at the Jekyll Island Club Resort, and we highly encourage guests to stay there. Crane Cottage is located directly on the resort grounds, so guests staying at the Island Club can simply walk to and from the wedding—no car, shuttle, or rideshare needed. If you prefer an oceanfront stay, the Jekyll Ocean Club is the Club’s sister property and offers complimentary shuttle service between the two hotels. Please note that the resort’s regular shuttle currently runs until 10:00 p.m., with the last Ocean Club stop at 9:45 p.m. Our wedding reception will also end at 10:00 p.m., so Ocean Club guests should keep this in mind when planning their return. Uber and Lyft do operate on Jekyll Island, but drivers are limited and availability can be unpredictable, especially at night. For the easiest wedding weekend experience, we recommend staying at the Jekyll Island Club.
As soon as possible! March is a busy season on Jekyll Island, and hotel availability can fill quickly. We strongly encourage everyone to book through our Jekyll Island Club room block as soon as your travel plans are set. Booking within our block not only locks in your spot, but also helps us monitor demand and work with the hotel to adjust our room inventory as needed. If you know you’re joining us, don’t wait to book!
The Jekyll Island Club Resort currently charges a daily resort fee per room, which includes a number of resort amenities such as: Seasonal beach chairs and umbrellas Complimentary shuttle service between the Island Club and Ocean Club On-property self-parking High-speed Wi-Fi Fitness center access Pool towels In-room coffee and bottled water Nightly s’mores Additional resort activities and amenities The resort fee and included amenities are subject to change before our wedding weekend.
Check-in at the Jekyll Island Club Resort begins at 4:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. If you arrive before your room is ready, no worries! The hotel can hold your luggage while you enjoy the resort or explore the island. Grab lunch, walk through the Historic District, rent bikes, or relax around the resort until it’s time to check in.
Jekyll Island is a protected Georgia State Park, and every vehicle entering the island is currently required to purchase a daily vehicle pass. This is separate from hotel parking and can be purchased in advance or when entering the island. Jekyll also runs on island time! Many restaurants and kitchens close around 9:00 p.m., with limited dining options available later in the evening. If you’re arriving late, we recommend eating before reaching the island or planning accordingly. Uber and Lyft are available, but there are relatively few drivers on the island. We recommend arranging any important transportation in advance rather than relying on rideshare, particularly later at night.
There are several options depending on where you’re traveling from: Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) — Approximately 30 minutes from Jekyll Island and the closest commercial airport. This is the most convenient option if the flight schedule works for you. Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) — Approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes away and generally offers a larger selection of flights and rental cars. This will likely be the best option for many guests. Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) — Approximately 1½ hours away. Savannah is a great option, particularly if you’d like to spend some time there before or after the wedding weekend. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) — Approximately 5 hours away by car. Atlanta will have the most flight options but is best for guests who don’t mind making the drive to the coast.
There is not a regularly scheduled Jekyll Island Club airport shuttle from Jacksonville, Savannah, or Atlanta, so we recommend renting a car or arranging private transportation in advance. Guests flying into Brunswick Golden Isles Airport may have additional local transportation options available, but we recommend arranging those ahead of time. Once you arrive at the Jekyll Island Club, you likely won’t need your car very much during the wedding weekend.
Jekyll Island is approximately 320 miles from Stuart, Florida, or about a 5–5½ hour drive, depending on traffic and stops. Most of the drive follows I-95, making it a relatively straightforward trip up the coast.
One of the best parts of Jekyll is that you can leave the car parked for much of the weekend. Walk: The Jekyll Island Club, Crane Cottage, Historic District, restaurants, and several attractions are easily explored on foot. Bike: Jekyll has more than 20 miles of bike paths, and bikes can be rented on the island. Red Bug: For something uniquely Jekyll, rent one of the island’s street-legal electric Red Bugs. They’re a fun way to explore the island without taking your full-size car everywhere. Resort Shuttle: Guests of the Jekyll Island Club Resort can use the complimentary shuttle between the Island Club and Ocean Club. The regular shuttle currently runs until 10:00 p.m., with the last Ocean Club stop at 9:45 p.m. Uber & Lyft: Rideshare operates on the island, but there are relatively few drivers, so wait times and availability can vary considerably. We recommend using rideshare as a backup rather than your primary transportation plan.
For guests choosing to stay elsewhere on Jekyll Island, limited parking will be available for our events at the Riverfront Lawn and Crane Cottage. Because parking is limited, we encourage guests staying off property to carpool whenever possible and allow a little extra time upon arrival. Guests staying at the Jekyll Island Club Resort will not need to drive to any of our wedding events.
Our wedding weekend is all about enjoying beautiful Jekyll Island! Our events are planned outdoors, and guests should expect to spend plenty of time on grass and lawn areas. The Riverfront Lawn sits beneath Jekyll’s iconic live oaks overlooking the river, while Crane Cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns. Please keep the setting in mind when choosing your shoes. We also recommend bringing a light layer for the evening since temperatures can cool down after sunset.
Our wedding is March 20, 2027. A reliable forecast won’t be available until much closer to the wedding, but March is typically a beautiful time of year on Jekyll Island. Guests can generally expect daytime temperatures around the upper 60s to low 70s and evenings in the 50s, although spring weather can vary. Coastal breezes can also make evenings feel a little cooler, so we recommend bringing a light jacket, wrap, or sweater. We’ll update the website with a more accurate forecast as the wedding gets closer!
We will not be providing wedding-day transportation, as it should not be needed for guests staying at the Jekyll Island Club. Crane Cottage is located directly on the resort grounds, allowing Island Club guests to simply walk to and from the celebration. Guests staying at the Jekyll Ocean Club can use the resort shuttle to reach the Island Club earlier in the day. However, the regular shuttle currently ends at 10:00 p.m., with the last Ocean Club stop at 9:45 p.m. Our reception also concludes at 10:00 p.m., so guests staying at the Ocean Club or elsewhere on the island should plan their return transportation accordingly. Uber and Lyft operate on Jekyll Island, but availability is limited and rides are not guaranteed, particularly later in the evening. This is another reason we strongly recommend staying at the Jekyll Island Club if possible.
Yes! Guests staying at either the Jekyll Island Club or Jekyll Ocean Club have access to the resort’s beach amenities. The Jekyll Ocean Club sits directly on the beach. Guests staying at the Island Club can take the complimentary resort shuttle to the Ocean Club, where resort guests can enjoy beach access and seasonal beach amenities.
We’ll update this page once invitations have been mailed and our RSVP deadline has been finalized.
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. at Crane Cottage. Please plan to arrive by 3:30 p.m. so you have plenty of time to find your seat, say hello, and settle in before the ceremony begins. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
