Friends with Alina since UCSD, and roommates pretty much ever after, Mariah has even deigned to run a half a marathon and a 10k with this (clearly sadistic) couple. Partner in crime doesn't even begin to do this sweet thing justice. We are honored and grateful for her love and support!

Best friends since volunteering at science camp in high school, Mikayla and Alina share a love for coffee and nature. They have never let going to different schools deter them from being close! Mikayla has always lent an ear and been infectious with her love for travel, and it was her dogs that inspired the choosing of Happy.

Tatyana has known Alina since the former was in the womb, and came to know Nolan just a little after. A fateful trip to Minneapolis and some sake tasting later, the literal distance was overcome as the sisters shared a love of detective fiction and Netflix crime dramas. The discovery that Arthur Weasley played Father Brown had a lot to do with it!

Alina and Alyssa's friendship can now legally vote- and so it does, for science and for love and for the merry happy continuation of this since-middle-school adventure! Through snail mail and text message, Alyssa has gotten to know Nolan and even shared some memories of baby Happy back when he was a little squish.

Erin and Alina met through a fitness program which required Erin to make Alina work, and Alina in turn required that Erin talk. A mutual distaste of bs was unearthed, and the friendship was anchored by a deep love and respect for Nolan. If Alina ever needed to call anyone at two am, it would be (and has been!) Erin!

Nolan's younger brother, and Best Man. Chosen for his beautiful voice, and dashing good looks. Brian is a talented musician, dedicated husband, and charismatic leader. Brian is currently learning and growing as a worship leader at a church in the Sacramento region. #SamandDean

Nolan's youngest brother (an 8-year difference!), but, arguably, the coolest of the bunch. After a short (although it felt long) stint with the Marines, he is now enjoying the San Diego sun while studying for a Civil Engineering degree at SDSU.

"Why are we counting these M&Ms? We should be eating them!" said Jon in our 4th Grade Class. This was my first encounter with my innovative and trend-setting friend. I don't think I was prepared then for the trends he'd be setting for me. Jon is currently running his own graphic design firm based out of Fresno, and has started a little family out there with his already big family. He's also got the coolest kid; his name is Titus. Seriously, ask Alina, she's obsessed with him.

"When you first meet Nate, he will do three things, without fail. Tell you he's from Africa, show you how to solve a Rubik's cube, and perform a card trick." said Nolan to Alina. And Nate, reliable as ever, did just that. The best thing about Nate is that you can count on him to always be himself, which is good because he always wants to have fun!. Nate and his wife, Jena, just recently brought a little one into this world. Her name is Kenna, and she has the best laugh. They currently reside in Northern California along with their pup, Reign.

Mike and I have known each other since way back in middle school, but didn't truly become friends until high school. Whether it's hitting the gym or learning a new hobby, Mike is always striving to improve himself. I've always been impressed with the effort and passion he will throw into something he's interested in. Mike has always been interested in cars (and now motorcycles!), and aims to work on them full time!
