We're Getting Married!

Nolan and Alex actually met for the first time in high school, but back then, he was just “Madi’s older brother.” (Alex and Madi were close friends.) One night, Alex joined the Nash family for a birthday dinner at the Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs. Nolan swears he had a crush on her from that night on—but the funny part? Alex didn’t even remember he was there. She and Madi stayed good friends through the years, and when it came time for Madi’s wedding, Alex was asked to be a bridesmaid. What she didn’t realize was that Madi had a little matchmaking plan up her sleeve—at Nolan’s request, of course. She had them walk down the aisle together, hoping it might spark something. But these two were so nervous around each other, they could barely talk—so Madi called in some backup. Alex’s best friend Camryn and Nolan’s best friend Alec took over as the unofficial matchmakers, and luckily, their efforts paid off. Back in Lincoln, it still took one more push. Alex was too nervous to hang out with Nolan one-on-one, so her lifelong best friend Amanda drove from Laramie, Wyoming just to tag along for their first night out. After that, something clicked—and they’ve pretty much been inseparable ever since.
