It was 2017 at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, where Leonard had been crafting pastries for over a decade, while Nohemi was just a year into her gig as a server. Despite working in the same place for an entire year, they somehow managed to miss each other—until one fateful night changed everything. Leonard was pulling a late shift when Nohemi walked into the kitchen. She was a server in need of some chocolate-covered strawberries for a guest. She spotted the cute guy in the kitchen and asked if he knew where her order was. To her dismay, the answer was, "No strawberries here!" But Leonard, ever the charmer, wasn’t about to let her leave empty-handed. “Hold on,” he said with a grin. “I can whip those up in five minutes.” Leonard seized the moment while the chocolate melted. A little small talk quickly turned into a full-blown conversation, and before they knew it, they realized they had way more in common than just a love for desserts. Leonard handed over two perfectly prepared orders of chocolate-covered strawberries and, with a wink, said, "The other order is for you." From that moment on, the summer was filled with “accidental” run-ins, despite their completely opposite schedules. It wasn’t long before they went from sneaking glances at work to planning their first date. Now, here they are, thrilled to have their closest friends and family join them in celebrating the sweetest decision they’ve ever made—getting married!
