Heartbreak has a way of healing in ways where belief you won't need another to have a happy life becomes overpowering. This is where both of our journeys started before finding each other. Sure of our security and only looking for someone that could build the great lives that we had already created. This led us both to eHarmony, a land where you have to pay for access which in both our minds meant better potential prospects for the future. It did not take long for this truth to reveal itself to us. As our conversations started out intellectually stimulating with common ground and open mindedness where there was none. A good path to a relationship where we both have the capacity to take a step back and looks at any problem as us against the problem rather than you vs. I. Little did we know that this relationship would be exactly what we where looking for to the point that we would send paragraph texts to each other every day especially because of our work schedules. Before all the meet ups began, Noemi let Nick know that she was doing a 12 hour stream to celebrate her 3 year anniversary of streaming on Twitch where she did a Luigi cosplay. He ended up tuning in for part of it and fell in love with the way she looked in a mustache. After that since they are both gamers they decided to play games together a few times until after the holidays had pass because it was around the 4th of July time. Our First Date, we ended up going to Top Golf. Noemi had shown interest in learning to golf, but had never done it or been to Top Golf. Definitely did not wear the correct clothing for it, but she was a champ because she had to look cute for the date. During the date, the conversations there was no minced words in conversation and then began discussing thoughts about the future as that is where they both where in their lives. We went on a second date, where we went bowling which was a lot of fun and ended up eating at YardHouse where you would catch us every Wednesday for over a year after that with our friend Patrick. On our third date, Nick asked to go buy cologne with him and after that asked Noemi to be his girlfriend. She said yes - this was on August 6th 2023.

During the middle of August 2023, Nick had invited Noemi over to his parents house to finally meet his family. Noemi was very nervous, but decided to bring flowers for Nick's mom and some cupcakes for the rest of the family. His family was very sweet and welcoming... except for Robbie (jk). During Labor Day weekend 2023, Noemi's best friends came up to Colorado to visit and met Nick. Albert and Nick had a weird bromance...Claire and Noemi where just standing there watching them. Before Claire and Albert left, they let Noemi know that they loved Nick and the way he treated her as well as cheered them on. October 2023, Nick meets Noemi's sister and her family while they are visiting Colorado on a family vacation. They all met at a pumpkin festival, but little Ayleen was asleep the whole time. Adelynn was running around with Nick and Noemi around the pumpkin festival park. November 2023, Noemi meets Nick's sister and her family. During Thanksgiving, Nick's sister comes down from Kansas to see the family and celebrate the holiday. Met the nephews and the insanity that may be coming in the future. February 2024, Nick meets Noemi's parents and "some" of the rest of her family during Ayleen's 2nd birthday. It was apparent that Nick needed to work on his Spanish skills. Everyone was welcoming and it was a wonderful time. May 2024, we took our first vacation together to see Avril Lavigne in Vegas. We met two of our twitch friends in person and we lost some money gambling.... At the same time we decided to buy a house together. June 2024, we closed on a house. August 2024, we rescued our Corgi/Alaskan Eskimo dog (Miso) November 2024, Our families meet for the first time during Thanksgiving in Colorado. November 2024, we got engaged on the same day our families met. And that's all I gotta say about that.

Noemi había mostrado interés en aprender a jugar al golf, pero nunca lo había hecho ni había estado en Top Golf. Definitivamente no llevaba la ropa adecuada para ello, pero se las apañó porque tenía que estar guapa para la cita. Durante la cita, no se anduvieron con rodeos en la conversación y empezaron a hablar sobre sus planes de futuro, ya que era en lo que ambos estaban enfocados en ese momento de sus vidas. Tuvimos una segunda cita, en la que fuimos a jugar a los bolos, lo cual fue muy divertido, y terminamos comiendo en YardHouse, donde nos podías encontrar todos los miércoles durante más de un año después de eso con nuestro amigo Patrick. En nuestra tercera cita, Nick le pidió que fuera a comprar colonia con él y después le pidió a Noemi que fuera su novia. Ella dijo que sí, esto fue el 6 de agosto de 2023.

A mediados de agosto de 2023, Nick invitó a Noemi a la casa de sus padres para que finalmente conociera a su familia. Noemi estaba muy nerviosa, pero decidió llevar flores para la madre de Nick y unos cupcakes para el resto de la familia. Su familia fue muy amable y acogedora... excepto Robbie (es broma). Durante el fin de semana del Día del Trabajo de 2023, las mejores amigas de Noemi vinieron a Colorado a visitarla y conocieron a Nick. Albert y Nick tenían una extraña amistad... Claire y Noemi se quedaron allí de pie mirándolos. Antes de irse, Claire y Albert le dijeron a Noemi que querían a Nick y que les encantaba cómo la trataba, y les dieron ánimos. En octubre de 2023, Nick conoce a la hermana de Noemi y a su familia mientras están de vacaciones en Colorado. Todos se conocieron en un festival de calabazas, pero la pequeña Ayleen estuvo dormida todo el tiempo. Adelynn corría con Nick y Noemi por el parque del festival de calabazas. En noviembre de 2023, Noemi conoce a la hermana de Nick y a su familia. Durante el Día de Acción de Gracias, la hermana de Nick viene desde Kansas para ver a la familia y celebrar las fiestas. Conoció a los sobrinos y la locura que puede estar por venir en el futuro. En febrero de 2024, Nick conoce a los padres de Noemi y a «algunos» miembros del resto de su familia durante el segundo cumpleaños de Ayleen. Era evidente que Nick tenía que mejorar su español. Todos fueron muy acogedores y lo pasamos muy bien. En mayo de 2024, nos fuimos juntos de vacaciones por primera vez para ver a Avril Lavigne en Las Vegas. Nos reunimos en persona con dos de nuestros amigos de Twitch y perdimos algo de dinero apostando... Al mismo tiempo, decidimos comprar una casa juntos. En junio de 2024, cerramos la compra de la casa. En agosto de 2024, rescatamos a nuestro perro Corgi/Alaskan Eskimo (Miso). En noviembre de 2024, nuestras familias se reunieron por primera vez durante el Día de Acción de Gracias en Colorado. En noviembre de 2024, nos comprometimos el mismo día en que nuestras familias se conocieron. Y eso es todo lo que tengo que decir al respecto.
