We met at our current job, and our story began in the most unexpected way. I was working as the receptionist at the time, and he always seemed to find a reason to stop by my desk or forget his key card so that I would open the door for him. It eventually became our little joke that we were like Pam and Jim from The Office — sharing laughs, inside jokes, and those small everyday moments that slowly started to mean something. We got engaged on the Oregon Coast, near the Twin Rocks. The beach has always been my happy place, so it already felt like the perfect setting. He randomly mentioned the panorama photo function on his phone was not working so I decided to give it a whirl on my phone. As I was taking the panorama of the mountains in front of us, he had snuck behind me. When I turned around, he was down on one knee. The beach had many people walking on it, but in that moment it felt like it was just us two. It was the most perfect moment — simple, beautiful, and so us.
