Things To Do

Welcome to Philadelphia! The grand cobblestone capital of cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, and Wawa. We hope this guide to the City of Brotherly Love serves you well during your visit.

Eat Like a Local

Kick things off at Reading Terminal Market. Try a doughnut from Beiler’s or a roast‑pork sandwich from DiNic’s. Double back if you didn’t get a cannoli at Termini Bros. If that's not your speed, do what many Philadelphians do: grab a coffee and a sizzli from Wawa. If you find yourself in Fishtown, check out some of our favorites including: the cheesy pies at Char Pizza, the mezze options at Suraya, diner bites at Middle Child Clubhouse, and the famous Kale Caesar Cutlet sandwich from Liberty Kitchen. If it's later in the day, find (spicy) Thai at Kalaya, or tacos & nachos at LMNO. Prefer Center City classics? Stake out a table at Parc in Rittenhouse Square for a French Bistro experience, The Dandelion for a pint, or Pub & Kitchen for some oysters. Craving red‑sauce comfort? Fiorella, Ralph’s, and Giuseppe & Sons are some of our favorites. But if you're lucky enough to find yourself at The Saloon, you know you're doing something right.

Cheesesteak Pilgrimage

No trip to Philadelphia is complete without a cheesesteak. Try Angelo’s in South Philly (known for their freshly baked rolls, with Cooper Sharp, and high quality ribeye), Del Rossi’s in Northern Liberties (known for their seeded rolls and beef tallow flavor, some say it's less touristy), Dalessandro’s in Roxborough (known as a classic and it's generous, messy, portions), or Jim's on South St. (known as an iconic late night spot - greasy, but satisfying - fun experience for a first-time visitor).

Explore & Experience

Visit City Hall and then snap your "I ❤️ Philly" photo at LOVE Park. Head to Rittenhouse Square for shopping or explore South Street and Philadelphia’s Magic Mosaic Gardens. History buffs can visit the Museum of the American Revolution or the Liberty Bell at Independence Hall, while art lovers can choose between the Barnes Foundation or the Rodin Museum. For those more paranormally inclined, enjoy a daylight tour of Eastern State Penitentiary (yes, it’s haunted). Finally, if you're feeling cinematic? Visit the Rocky Statue and run up the Art Museum steps like Rocky, then stroll the river path to neon‑lit Boathouse Row at dusk. __________________________________________________________________ Wherever you eat, clink glasses, or explore, Philly is compact enough that nothing’s out of reach. Now get out there—cheers, prost, salute—and we’ll see you on the dance floor!
