Noelle and Malcolm met in January of 2015 when Noelle attended a joint birthday party for Malcolm and a mutual friend. For Malcolm it was love at first sight (a day or two into his 23rd bday, more like lust but lets roll with it)! Noelle on the other hand, was oblivious. After sharing a few moments together throughout the trip, the attraction was mutual but neither made a move. Not knowing when the two would cross paths next, Malcolm initiated conversation online. From that day on the two grew closer, forming a friendship and a bond that has brought them to where they are today.

Noelle and Malcolm share a love for traveling. The two do their best to go somewhere together once a year. This time the two visited Noelle's favorite US city. Chicago! As usual, the two explored the city enjoying each other's company. Malcolm, typically a go with the flow type of vacationer, mentions he would like to make a quick stop at the pier before dinner. Noelle agrees, not thinking anything of it since she knows it's a beautiful spot. Now heading to the pier, dressed for dinner, Noelle growing with frustration trying to make sense of Malcolm insisting they walk through the park. Noelle was not wearing her walking shoes and Malcolm had no idea where he was going! He played it cool though. When they finally reached his desired destination there where people gathered, taking pictures, enjoying the warm weather and a proposal appeared to have just taken place. Noelle was ready to get out of there and to dinner!! The two took pictures in front of the skyline. Noelle was ignoring what was going on around them, when Malcolm guided her towards what she thought was for someone else until he said, "this is for you". Malcolm got on one knee and expressed his love for then girlfriend of five years. Bystanders started cheering and a photographer was now capturing the moment. In complete shock and disbelief, Noelle said yes!!
