There is free valet parking at the venue. There is also parking at the smaller venue/villa area.
The closest airport is Miami International (approximately a 35 minute drive). Fort Lauderdale International is another option, but this is an hour away.
**YOU MUST CHOOSE YOUR FOOD VIA YOUR RSVP. DUE TO COVID, BUFFET STYLE SERVING WILL NOT BE AN OPTION** For the cocktail reception, hors d'oeuvres will include balsamic bleu cheese stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped chicken, and meatballs. For dinner, there will be a choice of honey soy skirt steak or apple cider glazed pork tenderloin with either home style cooked potatoes or bacon wrapped asparagus side. A salad will also be available.
The wedding is a sunset wedding that will be going until roughly 11:30pm.
Since the wedding is outdoors, it is best to prepare for the season. April tends to be a little bit warmer cooling down just a tad bit in the evenings. Dress nice, and don’t forget to bring a mask as we will be taking strict safety precautions into account for COVID considerations. If a mask is needed, we will have a few extra.
We have a backup plan. There is a large tent on property that we will move to. Just in case, it is never a bad idea to bring an umbrella if it’s going to rain. Hopefully, it will not rain, although the ceremony is out in the open.
Secret Gardens is completely outdoors and open air. However, in order to ensure the health and safety of all guests, please be sure to bring a mask and hand sanitizer as a precautionary and practice social distancing while at the venue. We want to make this event the safest possible .
Yes. There will be a rehearsal dinner. The location is currently TBD considering current circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
Due to COVID-19, we wanted to ensure everyone’s safety. While we were supposed to have our wedding in October, 2020, we decided it would be best to legalize our bond by getting married at the courthouse on July 24th, 2020 and have a full celebration and reception (with renewal of vows and party) after COVID has hopefully subsided on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021. We wanted to make sure all friends and family members would be able to attend without the fear of becoming exposed or infected. We understand that April 20th is a weekday and some may have work or school obligations, but we hope that you will take some time out of your daily hustle and bustle to join us for an evening of love and merriment.
It’s beautiful! It’s not quite summer and is hence not too hot (yet). There could be an afternoon storm here or there, but it’s primarily mild. Bring a bathing suit/trunks, because the beach is perfect in April. If you’re looking for a nice vacation, while you’re down here, you can visit the Keys (Key Largo is minutes away from our venue, Key West about 2 hours away, Disney, Marco Island, Universal, Busch Gardens, there is tons to do!).
All chairs for the ceremony and reception are going to be distanced apart. Also, since the venue is outdoors, the risk is less prevalent than if the venue was indoors. However, we ask everyone to bring a mask and hand sanitizer to stay safe. There will be dancing following the reception. However, dancing is up to your discretion, and we ask all to maintain a safe distance. Lastly, if you feel ill or are running a fever, we ask that you refrain from attending and celebrate with us in spirit. We want to make this day wonderful and joyous while creating a safe environment for all.
