I (Noel) met Yuk over the summer through mutual friends. I was at Great America with Arnold Huynh walking around the park, and this guy (Yuk) from the gondola yells out "I LOVE YOU NOEL!” I looked above and turned to Arnold if he knew that werido. He said yeah, it's YUK. I never met the guy, and already had an impression of him being a flirt. Arnold met up with him later, and that's when I was introduced to him in person.
Yuk asked me (Noel) to hangout at the mall. I said sure, I've never been on a real date, I didn't expect much either because we were broke high school kids. It was nice talking to him in person, most of our conversations were usually taken place on the phone or webcam. While we were walking around the mall, he made a comment if I loved him. Woah! That was too fast, I responded sarcastically 'Yes, only for today.' A moment later, we walked into a store, and I found a pink wallet with the same phrase I just said to him. Yuk ended up buying the wallet for me (awww.. how sweet of him). Who knew I would end up falling for him. Unfortunately, I no longer have the wallet. It was stolen from Yuk's car a few years ago.
All relationships have their ups and downs. Our first year together was rough, at a point that we both wanted to break up. Yuk and I decided to give us one last chance before we call quits. We fought about everything. Perhaps at the time we were young and selfish, but it all worked out as we got older. The key is always communicate and have mutual respect for each other. We agreed that no matter how mad we are at each other, we will always hug it out. Yuk always keeps his promise. :) #hekeepsourrelationshipstrong #13yearstogether
