While both working at Electroimpact, Todd invited Noel to numerous bbqs and parties but she never went because she didn't know many of Todd's work friends. Todd decided to host a small get together and invited only people Noel knew, in hopes that she’d finally come over. Noel’s work friends convinced her to go and she had a great time and was excited to finally meet Todd! Later on, while playing darts, anytime Todd would pass the darts to Noel, they would shock each other. Sparks were literally flying!

The two were on vacation in Kauai with Noel's family. On the last night in town, Todd and Noel went on a date night. After dinner, they walked back towards their hotel and Todd suggested they sit on the beach to enjoy the view. Noel had to pee SO bad so she asked if they could run back into the hotel room first. She didn't realize that Todd was planning on proposing and that taking a detour to pee was probably making him anxious. The two then went and sat on the beach to enjoy the view. Todd was acting funny and looking around so Noel had a feeling he was going to propose, but she still cried immediately when he asked her to marry him!
